Building Your Profile
Your Scout profile helps your church understand what you bring to the table — not just as a volunteer, but as a whole person. It takes about two minutes to complete.
The Profile Builder
After you create your account, Scout walks you through a five-step profile builder:
- Your job — What you do professionally. This helps your church discover professional expertise they might not know about.
- Your skills — Pick from categories like creative, technical, leadership, and more. Select as many as apply.
- How you like to serve — A few quick questions about your serving style and preferences.
- Where you are right now — A snapshot of your current life season, so your church can serve you better too.
- Contact info — Verify your email and optionally add a phone number.

Why It Matters
Most churches only know you by the role you fill on Sunday. Scout helps them see the full picture. When your church knows you’re a graphic designer, a former teacher, or someone with project management experience, they can connect you with opportunities that actually fit who you are.
You choose what to share. Everything is optional beyond your name and email.
Updating Your Profile
You can update your profile anytime from the Profile tab in the app. Changed jobs? Picked up a new skill? Just tap into your profile and edit.
